So you may remember earlier this year we had some work done on our driveway to make easier access for us to drive in. That was just a temporary fix and the front still had a pretty big dip as you entered (too big for my mini van). Our bulldozer guy came out this week and started working on building the pond and building our driveway up some more. He moved the culvert down a little too to make the driveway more centered between these two trees we will have on either side of the drive. It is really starting to look good and my car can pull down the driveway now, YAY! He started working on the pond and has it about half way done. He was supposed to continue it this week but it will be raining off and on so I am not sure how much will actually get done this week. I can’t wait for it to be done and have rock on it so we can put our gate up! Here are a few pictures from when we went out there. Here is a picture of the front with the driveway coming in between the two trees and there are also two trees it goes through right where I am standing. I will have to take a picture further back next time to show those too.

Here are a few pictures of the future pond area. Its hard to visualize with it empty. It just looks like a big ugly hole right now. It should always have water in it too because it will be filled by our creek. Once it is full it will overflow down the other side of the creek. photo_2 photo_1(3)      photo_3(2)

The boys had a lot of fun playing on the bulldozer and Logan had fun digging in the dirt like a puppy =) His legs were all brown and we were out there for maybe 20 minutes. Even his diaper was full of dirt. I see a lot of showers in their future…

Tristan asked if we could keep the bulldozer so we can run over things and smash them…um, no =)

Finally a few pictures on our picnic table

While we were out there our neighbor told us that we have a pecan tree along the back of our property. She walked us back there and showed us and sure enough we have a pecan tree back there. It is the kind that makes the really small pecans but hey it’s still pecans! I can’t believe it was there all along and we didn’t even see it!
