I haven’t posted in a while because we haven’t done anything new and exciting on the land in the last month BUT we have been very busy and having lots of end of summer fun! It is just too darn hot outside to do much of anything but we have lots of plans this fall so there will be some fun posts coming up soon. Here are all the exciting things that have happened this last month:
We got solar screens put on the cabin windows! The little cabin already stayed pretty cool but these definitely help on the 100 degree days!
We got kittens! Meet KitKat and Ninja (named by the boys). We are having so much fun with them. Logan loves to carry them around and they are very tolerant.
We bought a riding lawnmower. Shannon was very happy!
Shannon and Tristan built a rocket and launched it on our land. He LOVED it! 
We had a car wash…
We made slime!
Logan didn’t like the messiness at first…
We soaked up the last bits of summer!
Tristan had his last day of summer camp. He LOVED his summer camp. Bowling, cooking, field trips… who wouldn’t love that??
We took Back to School pictures! I can’t believe Tristan is starting 1st grade. How did that happen?? Look at this handsome guy… I loved using our land as a backdrop.
We ate some back-to-school donuts…
We went to meet the teacher night. We love Tristan’s new school and his new teacher. It seems like it is going to be a great year!
After meet the teacher there was a tile painting workshop in the cafeteria to paint tiles for the new community built playground in Gunter. I love that these tiles with our boys hand-prints will be a part of the playground and that they will always get to go back and see how tiny their little hands were. 
Tristan had a great first day of school and even lost a tooth while he was there! I told him that was super lucky. We celebrated the first day of school with snowcones!
We played with sticks, rocks, and lots of dirt! lol!
Got this boy potty trained!! Yay, Logan!! First two days at school in underwear and he had NO ACCIDENTS!!
We went to a Rough Riders game and had a blast!
And loved on the kittens a little more =) They grew so much in a month!
So even though I thought we didn’t do anything apparently we did a lot! We are loving living at our land and even though our accommodations are tiny we are having BIG fun! Everyone in Gunter has been so nice and welcoming. The schools are amazing and the people are even better. We are excited for the future and feel blessed to raise our boys here.
